When three young prodigies calling themselves ‘Marauder’ hit the stage at Darwin’s Piano Bar on 6th street in Austin, Tx early in 2024, nobody could have imagined the bluesy, 30 minute rock-n-roll power train they were about to experience. This jaw-dropping performance was the culmination of the ‘Garage Band’ program held by the Musicians Woodshed in Bee Cave, Tx. and left the audience howling for more.

 

Based off their debut performance, and under the continued guidance of Alec Woodruff (Big Sky Collective), a new ‘Band Development’ program was formed at the Woodshed in order to foster the career of these talented musicians which includes Jonah Skaggs (16) on lead guitar & vocals, Charlie Van Wiedman (15) on drums & vocals, and Graham Cudzilo (16) on guitar. Tristan Knight (14) soon joined the band on Bass, and they changed their name to ‘Guilty Innocents’.

 

After an electrifying performance to a packed house at Sagebrush in Austin, TX which had the audience chanting for an encore, the band spent the 2024 summer expanding their set out to 60 minutes to include even more solid, rockin’ blues.

 

The band draws inspiration from artists like Marcus King, Gary Clark Jr., Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, along with some surprise offerings from John Mayer, Cake, Tame Impala, Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath.

 

With an eye on developing original music, Guilty Innocents continues to lay down a solid groove in the Central Texas music scene, and will be playing more live performances throughout the year.
